
History
For 30 years, BUCHEN-ICS has been a specialist in catalyst handling in both normal and nitrogen atmospheres. Back in 1979, we were the first company in Europe to introduce the "LSS Life Support System", based on a NASA development, for safe working in catalytic reactors in a nitrogen atmosphere.

1979 | Formation of BFi Buchen in Cologne, 50/50% subsidiary of Richard Buchen GmbH and BFi Brown Ferries Industries. | 1984 | Formation of first subsidiary in Le Havre, Northern France. | 1986 | Change to "BUCHEN-ICS Industrial-Catalyst-Service" as 100% subsidiary of Richard Buchen GmbH. | 1996 | Formation of two further companies in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and Antwerp, Belgium. | 1999 | Formation of a fifth company in Martonvásár, Hungary. | 2001 | BUCHEN-ICS b.v., Rotterdam, takes over all the catalyst activities of AVR Booy-Support in the Netherlands, including a Swedish company in Gothenburg. | 2001 | BUCHEN-ICS Le Havre opens a branch in La Mède, Southern France | 2002 | Formation of a new company in Manchester, Great Britain. This makes BUCHEN-ICS a group concern with seven European companies. | 2004 | 25th anniversary (of the founding) of the company. | 2006 | Formation of BUCHEN-ICS S.r.l. in Romania and BUCHEN-ICS S.L. in Spain. | 2007 | Formation of BUCHEN-ICS Mobile Service Kft. In Hungary, BUCHEN-ICS OOO in Russia, and BUCHEN-ICS S.r.l. in Italy. | 2009 | The former specialised department of the ICS group becomes independent and is trading under the name of BUCHEN-ICS Global Technology Services b.v. since the beginning of the year in the location Spijkenisse (NL). | 2011 | Change of the Swedish company name from BUCHEN-ICS AB to BUCHEN-ICS b.v., Nederländerna Filial |
